What We Do

The Stephanie Phillips Foundation has been developed solely for the purpose to raise money to support the Phillips family while Stephanie completes the steps the beat her cancer.
Many of you know Stephanie from when she was Stephanie Thurman... the amazing basketball player from Springfield Catholic, or the Thurmanator from the Southwest Missouri State University Lady Bears, or the Southwest Baptist University All-Star that took the Lady Bearcats to the finals. Others might know her as one of the assistant basketball coaches for The Missouri University Lady Tigers. Then there are all of you that have heard about her when she came back to Springfield Missouri to coach the Kickapoo Lady Chiefs Basketball team and won more state titles in five years than most coaches do in their entire career. During that time she married Scot Phillips who was also a coach at Kickapoo. He was an assistant football coach for Kurt Thompson. Scot and Stephanie also have two amazing sons, Drew and Levi.
Just this past year Kurt Thompson decided to make a career change and head out to coach the Republic Tigers Football Program. Scot decided to go with Kurt to Republic where we are sure they will be a huge success. But with Scot not having any sick days or vacation days built up and Stephanie only having three sick days money is going to be a serious issue and we need everybody's help. The Stephanie Phillips Foundations founder Jarad Giddens is developing different types of fundraisers that will be listed and at times also ran on this website. He and other members of the foundation will be working with area schools to promote cancer awareness. We know this is going to be a battle but with the help of all of you and God the Stephanie Phillips Foundation will be a huge success and will make everything so much easier for the Phillips family.
